Dear Santa......

OMG.... I've been on a scrapping frenzy here!!..
I've hardly scrapped at all this year...
then of all sudden, like buses, lots of Layouts arrive all at once!!
-oOo-
I've got loads of fabby Christmas memories & pics taken of my 3 boys over the years..and this one of my youngest makes me smile, (taken 10 years ago).

Here he is, fleeing from Santa, pressie in hand, pulling a funny face!!!

Over at
sketch challenge Blog
This is the fabby sketch
for the
December Sketch Challenge

I  turned the sketch on its side to accomodate the photo I chose to scrap...
and here is my take on it...

I've used a mix of HOTP and cosmo cricket papers, handmade flowers, crochet flowers, pins, lace, rik rak, prima bulb trinkets, twine, snowflake embellies, paint and lots of lovely buttons.

-oOo-
Anyway, I suppose I should stop playing with paper and start worrying about the Christmas prep now!!
Hope all is going well with your festive preparations...

Thanks for Peeking!

fabby ice sculptures in the
Here is me posing in the entrance
 to the Magical Ice Kingdom
Sooooo cold Brrr!!..and the red nose to proove it LOL!

Some of the amazing ice sculptures
I don't seem to get many pics of hubby & I together
(the photos taken are usually of the boys or the pooch!!)
So when I came across this fab little sketch, I thought it would be nice to scrapbook a rare one of us both.

Oh deer!......

A few days ago I was sent an email to inform me that that there was a fantastic Christmas card Craft Off competition taking place at the moment run bt Moneysupermarket.com ....all of the deets of which you can find HERE. ...There is also some fabby prizes up for grabs... mini IPad and Hobbycraft vouchers. (Both of which I wouldn't mind getting my crafty little mitts on!!)
I LURVE receiving handmade cards at Christmas...and also send out Lots & Lots of handmade ones to my crafty friends....
I'm having a bit of a reindeer, twine and washi tape addiction at the mo...So here are a few simple ideas for some festive cards....
 First of all...Supplies...
This is what I have used...
card blanks
butcher twine
bells
red buttons
paper doilies
washi tape
alpha stamps
Bingo Card
reindeer face  (sizzix Reindeer w/antlers die)
tags (sizzix tags die)
and this is what I created with these ingredients...

Loving how you can use the washi tape, doilies etc...in a variety of different ways...so that no two cards are identical.

You can even use vintage emphera..I've used an old Bingo card for the background then added a paper doily, my reindeer (Don't forget a little red button for Rudolphs nose!!)...then finish it off with the butchers twine, tag and bells.

You can personalise the tags with the recipients name..
or add a greeting!

Then to complete, just add an insert...
and VoilĂ  a simple but effective fun Card!

Pets Win Praises......

Hi my name is Barney

...and when I found out that Moneysupermarket.com were having a competition to win £250 worth of Pets at Home Vouchers....
I started slobbering at all the tasty treats that could buy me!!
Soooooo I just had to Hijack my human mummys crafty blog to enter for a chance to win!!
-oOo-
These are the rebarkable things that I get up to to earn my goodies, I will do almost anything for a treat...
Here I am High-fiving!
I can SIT, DOWN, DO A TWIRL, ROLL OVER and 'HIGH FIVE' on command, especially if you have a tastly nibble for me.
..and when my mummy says "I LOVE YOU" in a silly voice,
I always reply with three little barks, which makes mummy very happy, she tells everyone that I have said "I Love you" back and gives me a treat!
The boys think mummy is mad....Mmmmm, just between you and me, she is a little barking crazy, but hey, who am I to argue when I woof 3 times I get a delish treat out of it!!
I'm even partial to a little holiday fancy dress for a bone shaped biccy!!

I get loads of yummy treats when I do my agility tricks with mummy.
...and I can fetch too for a goody or two!!
But the best treats I get are cuddles with my family
 me and my dad...
-oOo-
I can be a mischevious little scamp too...
My pack call me the 'Sock monster'
because I'm always pinching their socks...
and eating things I shouldn't !!
But they are never mad at me....

...especially when I give them the puppy dog eyes!!!
Anyway gotta dash, time for a nap, off to dream about big juicy bones and chasing balls in the park!!
Big Slobbery kisses!!
